These are some testimonials both as a teacher and as a performer:

Wilson Montuori is not only a fine guitarist, he is a patient & knowledgeable teacher who makes things clear and do-able.  And fun!

Mark Stewart  (Guitarist & Music Director,  Paul Simon)

Wilson is an exceptional teacher of music. He employs his natural character of patience and humor to inform his effective, powerful technique. He is a rare teacher who intuits his students potential and actively encourages their sense of self worth while focused on a steady stream of detail in an atmosphere of keeping the students creative curiosity buoyant. It is only master teachers who can give the student a feeling of collaboration, an existential alive relationship to music . It is a gift of the lightest touch that great artists have when communicating, Wilson has that rare gift. It is a mutual search for the joy of creativity. He did that for our daughter Snow.

He taught her guitar and encouraged her to evolve her original music and lyrics, writing songs with open, supportive joy based in rich musical craft that enabled her to retain her love of music and song writing to this day.
He became her musical mentor, and a most beloved friend.

"Wilson was a wonderfully encouraging and constructive teacher who made learning fun for my son. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge was inspirational. Not only did he teach my son as a pre-teen but continued to stay in touch over the years with pointers  on theory and performance. Music is a big part of my son's life today and that's because of Wilson."

Eric Bogosian (Actor, Playwriter)

I had the pleasure last year of giving Wilson a few  specialized  lessons tailored to his quest for perfect tone and artistic expression in classical playing. He absorbed what I had to show him like a sponge, with immediate benefits that continue to pay off, and I was especially impressed by his versatile playing skills and varied repertoire. We also played some duets which demonstrated his phenomenal ability to sight read new music with feeling. Coupled with his warm personality and easy manner, talents such as these qualify him to teach nearly any style of guitar, at levels from beginner to entry-level professional, in uniquely effective and enjoyable ways.

"Wilson combines a wide-ranging knowledge of guitar styles and techniques with undeniable charisma and dedication to the craft of teaching. In more than 15 years of working together I cannot recall a single student who didn't quickly grow to love him and their weekly lessons together. Wilson's students make real progress year after year. He's a great communicator and simply, has the gift to inspire and instill a lifelong love of music and learning."

Wilson Montuori is a wonderful guitar teacher. As a beginner, I was really looking for someone who would take the time to meet me where I was at and have a clear path to advance my playing and understanding of the instrument. I was particularly interested in getting help with cord changes so that I could progress through a song or melody. Wilson introduced me to a special technique that had developed that made it much easier to learn. He is a warm and personable teacher that is never intimidating and always supportive.
